Hi,
I just bought a classic Correct Craft. Believed to be a 66'. It has a 318 polyhead 235hp engine. I can't find any information regarding this motor.
Can anyone help me to locate a manual and or info on this engine. I understand there is plenty of info on the 210 LM or M motors, but I don't know what I have here for parts, timing etc..

There are lots of 318's listed in my book none say polyhead. If you have the same distributor as the another the timeing should be the same. In 72 they went to eletric ignition. |

While the valve covers are not scalloped, they are the zig zag bottom pattern that deliniates the poly engine. The exhaust manifolds are located below the heads, not above.
The polyspheric engines commonly called the Semi hemi, were produced up to 68' I believe. The common set up was a Carter 4bbl 210 HP version. This engine is taged as a Fury 235, which no body seems to know about..
The engine tag reads:
318DWR10 Type 360 Ser# 96590

hi mojoman, i am also searching for info. on a fury 210 sounds like the same motor you have. mine is 210 not 235. i have 318b jl x ,type 316,ser#92088,my boat is 68 buehler turbo craft,my engine also has zigzag pattern valve covers i am looking for info. on a full engine rebuild kit.thanks for any help you can offer. if i get any info. i will get back to you. |
