Just heard from a friend who says he picked up a nifty little 1 or 2 cylinder marine diesel for me and says he thinks the name was, "Kelley," or, "Kelley-xxxx," something. I can't find Kelley on search. He's 300 miles from here so I won't have it in hand until late next month when I also pick up the Albin he has waiting for me. Anyone heard of a, "Kelley?" Just curious, and, yes, I do realize I'll find out in due time. (grin) Dennis |

There certainly were Kelly & Lewis engines, including marine versions, made in Australia. Why I didn't reply earlier is because I didn't think they sold engines in the USA. But, who knows. Dennis, when you get the engine, post a photo and, if it is a K-L, we will be able to identify it - with a bit of luck! Eric |

I just got a photo from my friend with a photo of my, "new," engine. It's a Kermath Farymann 10hp engine, "No. 18DS0343. I've never heard of this one. Anyone know where to go for information??? I've had poor luck with searches so far. Dennis |

Late again Years ago the Australian Navy put three new 2 cylinder 14 hp Kelly diesels out for tender. Tryed to get one but failed. I sought information on these motors from the manufacturer. They knew nothing untils someone remembered the old storeman out the back. I spoke to him and asked if spares where avavailbe. His reply."Dont be silly, You will never need spares". Guess they are out there somewhere, perhaps pumping water day and night. Beautiful machines all brass fittings. The tags on them read. Test run 1956 Bill V |

I own an ex navy surplus 2 cylinder Kelly & Lewis VEC2M 12-14hp marine diesel. It is still "new" and is just being fitted to a launch I am building now. Would like to hear from anyone who know anything about them. I have the engine manualbut apart from that information is scarce. Andrew |
