Hello, I'm new to this list and have a question pertaining to a prior response from Andrew, regarding manifolds possibly not being available
for Gray Marine Fireball V-8 327 engines. My father has a 64 Century Resorter with this engine in it and may have some problems with the
intake manifold being cracked. (among otherpotential problems) Is this something that is replaceable (parts availability)and if his additional problems are extensive, what type of options are available for "replacing" this type of engine. He is not as concerned with keeping
everything original as having a functioning / reliable boat. Also, for a complete rebuild of the above engine, any cost estimates, (done by a professional, not us) and if the engine were to be replaced with something new/newer, engine recomendations and any ballpark
idea on costs.

Thanks for your expert opinions.

Regards,

Jeff

Sensitive motors, most are all aluminum buicks, later sold to LandRover, manifolds(that work) are impossible to find. Replace it. Try a shortblock crate motor!

If you're insistent on keeping the motor, Try Bob Webster at Riverside Marina in Dayton Ky, or S&D Machine in Novi Michigan.

Good afternoon,

The 327 is a great engine. I also have a 64 Century and have been looking for exhaust elbows for it and new heads (mine are corroded). I just bought another engine that I believe is better than what I had so it looks like I may have a number of pieces left over including an intake manifold. Let me know what you might need and where you are located. I live in Annapolis, Md. Mitch
