Hi,
just bought my first boat classic press 30 wooden cruiser and I'm trying to find as much information on the engine as i can all i know so far is that its a perkins 1.8 with 54hp all info greatly received

I have a 3.0 mercruser in a 1965 jeep. Would like to get rid of the marine maniflold & go to a single carb. Does anyone know the year & make of a 3.0 in the automotive production?

Chevy Iron Duke in a Monza or Sunbird if my memory is correct. Also many more both front and rear wheel drive.
The 3.0 was Mercruiser only.
Mercruiser bored and sleeved the car engine to get it up to 3.0 but the head should be the same as automotive so an automotive manifold should fit as long as it is the same basic style. Cross flow vs intake and exhaust ports on the same side of the head.

The "Iron Duke" took the place of the Chevy Vega aluminum engine in the Pontiac Astre, best guess around 1977, was used in the Citation-Phoenix in the early 80's with a carb. |
