hello everyone, I am on vacation in argentina visiting family and ran into an inlaw who is a mechanic that happened to salvage a Stuart Marine Engine that was being scrapped. It looks identical to the Stuart Turner P55 found on this homepage (http://www.oldmarineengine.com/history/Stuart/stuart_marine_engines.htm) except that it is of one cylinder. My inlaw got the engine running but does not have the specifications or manual necessary to accurately inspect the engine. I am hoping for a longshot that someone may be able to help me find out what model stuart engine this could be so that i can purchase a manual. i dont have pictures of his engine and so did not want to post to the unknown category but i will ask if he has some around. many thanks, ps. my question is whether anyone knows of the models of stuart engines that come in one cylinder and look identical to the p55 on the link above. |

That would be the P5, round head with 6 bolts, P6 almost exactly the same except carb and aluminium piston and sometimes coil ignition. Download manual from here:- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stinfoexchange/ |
