i've got a 61-63 buehler turbocraft jet35 w/ the gray marine v8-188. (amc 327) the drive is a 3 stage buehler. the motor has the intake w/ side draft carter 2 bls. havent searched it out, but i'd assume i could come up w/ a 4bl intake and carb and maybe a cam and easily increase hp. but i'm boat ignorant. ive seen propeller outdrives and it seems they are hp specific. i think some turbocrafts had 401 and such and it seems all i see is a 3 stage jet drive? by the way my boats been sitting 17 years. i havent broken loose the motor yet. think i'll snap the crankshaft bolt the way its been acting! im afraid i might have to pull the motor and loosen the mains. |
