while im still trying to figure out witch way the piston goese had one more question
the timer is driven off the gear onthe flywheel the gear on the timer shft has a mark the flywheel gear doesnt have any marks i under stand the timer will rotate 360* but were should i install the shaft gear as it can go in relations to the pins two differeent places |

Bob, A couple of weekd ago Richard Durgee sent me a picture of a Gray "U" which might be of help for you. It is too large to post here so I will email it to you. It doesn't show the inside of the engine but it shows both side views rather nicely. There is also a good picture of the Gray "U" in cutaway picture in a publicaion call ONE-LUNGERS and Other Early Marine Engines which might also help. It is on EBay as a buy it now for $7.50, Item # 120542791996. Frank |

If the timer rotates 360 I would set it straight forward, piston at to dead center, contacts closed so the engine will fire in this position. |
