I'm trying to work up a list of the original sparkplugs used in Hesselman engines. These were oil fuel burning low compression engines with special hi-power mag and sparkplug ignition; a post re' the schooner Samarang, saying it was powered by a Wauk-Hesselman, revealed marine use. Various US m'f'r's built or used Hesselman designs in the 30's: Alli-Chalmers, Case, Chev and Mack for export (Hess'ns were more popular in Europe) Condor and Sterling, Waukesha, etc.. I have the Wauk Gen'l Inst's (1957) for their Hess'mns. Does anyone out there have any Hesselman or mfr literature that lists the original sparkplugs by maker/model, OR a 30's/early 40's Master Sparkplug catalog that may list them??? Any comments appreciated; pls reply Bud [email protected] |
