Richard, my Storm boring bar must be the model after this one. It was offered with "time saving adapter plates for the V8 60 & 85 engines". The 60 was from the 30's.

Many Ford V/8-60s were used in midget race cars and boats. See: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_specs-V8-60hp.htm I nstalled one in a 1949 MG-TC back in the early 1950s. I just sold the car to a fellow in Pennsylvania who plans to enter it in vintage sport car races. The engines had replaceable cylinder liners. I removed them and bored the engine 1/8" oversize. . . not with an ancient Storm. |
