I went out to winterize my boat the other day temp about 50. I did the ususal two revolutions with my thumb as a choke turned on the spark and bounce started it. It ran as usual even at a colder temp. I had the water inlet hose in a gallon of antifreeze and ran the engine till antifreeze came out the exhaust. Re attached the water inlet hose to the thru hull and closed the ball valve. Then stuck a rag in the exhaust through hull fitting, removed the coil box, gas tank (outboatd style) blew out the gas line and rinsed the carb out with brake clean. Placed the engine at TDC with closed throttle. The boat is outside and covered with a tarp with the ends open for air circulation. I will see it next in the spring. I do stick my head in one end of the tarp once in a while to check for critters |
