I recently purchased a 1975 Ericson 27' sailboat with the above mentioned enigne. It runs absolutely perfect but seems to be taking water in that gets to the oil. Does anyone know a good source for parts for these? I want to pull the head off and get a look to try and find the water source but I am afraid to until I know parts are available. My parts dept has not been able to find them for me, at least not yet. The engine runs so great I cant believe there is major damage to it but I could be wrong. The dipstick level doesnt rise because of water intake but the oil gets milky |

I have the same engine and needed parts this past spring. I found them at:
French Creek Marina
Clayton, NY

Ask for Wilbur (he also happens to own the place). Although Volvo does not make parts for this engine any more, he has gaskets made and imports parts from Europe. I think he can get you any part that you need. He is also very helpful with advice.
