The following comments and Krice Carburetor photos came in from Dick Day:

Dick I thought Ernie trained / instructed you on the art of posting pictures. Was he a bad instructor or were you a bad student? Keith |

He is a great instructor. My problem is I am computer illiterate. At least I was able to get the photos down to 400 pixels and under 50 Kbytes so I am now ready for the next level. |

Frank, Did you notice the posting date of the Krice carb info? This was posted back three or four years ago. I guess there might be a chance that Dick still has the carb? |

Dick, Two things, first, in the picture of the Carb showing all the parts there is a ring or something resting on the inner body and the outer body gas level and assembly part. I don't have one on my carb. Second, Do you still have the carb and if so is it for sale? John, Thanks for the tip. Frank |

Frank, I actually took those pics for Dick Day and I think you are talking about the float. If you are missing yours you can get one from Dave Reed at Otto Gas Engine works. click here |

Ernie, I bouoght a new float from Dave Reed. What I am refering to in the pictures there is some kind on washer/spacer resting on the top of that round piece that holds the two pieces, Upper and lower halfs together. It is the one with the nut on the bottom of the carb. In the picture there is some kind on washer/spacer resting on the top of that piece. I looked at the cross section of the Krice Carb that is under a different topic that I downloaded and I can't name that piece or find that washer/spacer on the drawing. It is the piece where the main or idle needle valve fits into for fuel control. As I haven't run my engine (flywheel is being cast next week and then machine shop) I don't know how much control the needle valve has over the fuel flow. On the first picture it is on the left side of the picture above the nut and the washer/spacer is resting on that main or idle jet, on the second picture washer/spacer is right of the nut below the main carb body and resting on the main or idle jet body. Could the round thing be the gasoline vaporizer? But I don't have that washer/spacer or any idea what it does or what it looks like. |

Frank, I will have to take one apart and refresh my old brain. I took those pics a long time ago. I will take a few more pics when I look at one. It won't be for a day or so Ernie |

Unfortunately I am out of town for a couple of days. Will have a look at my stock of Krice Carbs and see what I have. Will get back later in the week. |
