I have been offered the tacho drive to fit to my Lister JP2M. I already have the gear housing (see on image link below) as its common with the gear type water pump on my engine. The shaft is gear driven from the camshaft in turn driven from the crankshaft pinion so it ends up turning in the same clockwise direction as viewed at front of engine, but according to manual at "approximately two thirds of crankshaft speed". http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx184/richardhula/IMG_1886-1_zpsc7a3a361.jpg The original part # was 13-14-984, probably calibrated 0-2000 rpm (1200 rpm engine) with clockwise rotation from cable when viewed at the back of the instrument. Although probably as rare as rocking horse poop, does anyone have a source for the original instrument? plus maybe drive cable although the latter would be easy to obtain I imagine. |
