I recently bought a boat that has a 1968 or 1969 AMC 390CI engine in it based on the number stamped on the intake manifold. Can anyone tell me if this would be a grey marine, and if so what model number it is? And what is it worth and is it worth rebuilding. |

Update on this engine. I've pulled it out of the boat and its actually a 304 ci with a 390 intake manifold and a carter 4bbl carb. The 304 was only available with a 2bbl and put out 210 hp in the stock config in 1970. The 390 with the 4bbl put out besteen 315 335 hp. Anyone have an idea what this hibrid will produce hp wise. |
