cool - wooden trailer for a wooden boat The guys from Oz can tell you about Chapman engines. Ask if it was run in salt water or if it was run in fresh water. Salt water run engines may have significant problems. miro |

This engine is actually a Penguin, made by Chapman (PW) Engineering at Redfern. There is no connection with Chapman & Sherack, who made the Chapman brand engines. Though I have not had any experience with these engines, I would imagine that they would be less likely to have rust damage than most. The reason being that the water jackets were a separate, detachable casting with a much bigger water space around the cylinders. Horsepower is either 7 or 8. Eric |
