I found a key for perkins serial numbers, now i can find the year made, county made in and id an engine from serial numbers.The key starts in 1974 and goes up,but many of the things apply to older numbers too. |

Larry, I have a boat that has a marinised Perkins 6.354 in it, I am having problems finding out the Engine and Serial No. I checked the Perkins website and found the location for the number below the fuel pump and sure enough there was a number there, it looked like this:
CL C 0
805164 0
4
I contacted the local Perkins/Sabre Dealer and they said the number didn't make any sense to them. I know from their website what the number is supposed to look like but I can't find anything that looks similar on the engine. Any ideas? suggestions?
