http://s732.photobucket.com/albums/ww330/quiffhat/?action=view&current=everythin g1157.jpg This is the motor, I posted earlier. It has to come completely apart. Wire brush and oil can so far. Bore 4" and stroke 3 5/8" measurements taken through openings. Flywheel 14" dome 6" and prop 11 1/2" Multitude of sins committed to it over the years. After removing the exhaust, piston appears to be in backwards. Anyone able to tell which one I have,my guess 3 hp. The prop also seems small, original?

Go here, and start digging though the catalogs, and ads until, you find the one that matches your bore and stroke. and then, you should be able to find the recommended prop size from the HP size. There is page after page of info on this site.

Sid, here is the only Caille Catalog that I know about. It's on Jack Craibs website listed as a 1922 caille catalog. Jack's website is mostly about outboards. I think this catalog is about the only inboard engine info he has listed on the site. See links below. I could not find your Bore or stroke size in the catalog. I think you may have a early engine. The Detroit Engine Works website is mine and I do not have any Caille specs listed on it. but you will find some photos. Look under CPMC marine engine photos. Have Fun! email me if can help.
