Yes but I can't find it. At this point it's a guess. There was one that showed up at Mystic a couple of times. I think a guy in NH owned it. come on Richard what is it? |

* Ernie I don't have a name for this one -yet-. I am looking for early Frisbie photo ads and 1907 is earliest so far and its similar but not this engine. Heft Motor Company took over Frisbie in about 1909 and several ads for them, but if this is a Frisbie it would be 1902-1905 or o6. The significant unique feature of this engine is the open crankcase in the front and you would think I could get it out of my data base but its not there ? Art Machine Company Baltimore about 1902-3-4-made 4 cycle marine engs with some of the characteristics but no photo of one exists so far? I posted the other posts here from things I have come across while searching for this eng ! I'll keep looking !! * |

I appreciate all the effort to identify this. Richards Art Machine Company of Baltimore is interesting. This engine was removed from an abandoned Hooper Island Draketail (a type of Ches. Bay workboat)in the late 1950's. The boat had been abandoned just south of Baltimore. Maybe the engine had been purchased from a local manufacturer, such as Art Machine. Ken |

Richard: It certainly has some similarites in design. Who knows, maybe we will figure this out sometime. Thanks for your input. Ken |
