I am looking for any information on the Ailisa Craig 20hp twin cylinder diesel i am helping an old engineering friend of mine to get one running it is complete and includes the gearbox.It is a English built engine the crank is stamped 1957.Any information would be a big help cheers Sean}} |

I would suspect that your engine is an RF2 (1:1 direct drive), RFR2 (2:1 reduction gearbox) or an RL2. All three are twin cylinder, 1606cc, 20 hp @ 1200 rpm, water cooled. I've just recently picked up a matched pair of RFR4's (40hp @ 1200 rpm)  . Info on Ailsa Craigs is fairly scarce. |
