i was told my motor was a Scott-Atwater but my cylinder head looks alot different...have a look~47scott-atwater???47 S.A.

That motor is a Champion...had one when I was 12...my elbow still aches from pulling that rope

The top 4 photos in this thread are a Champion outboard. When I was 12 or 13 I had one on an old Sears lapstrake row boat previously abondoned by the neighbour (took two people to run...one to either row or drive the outboard...one to bail). The motor always ran...it was just a matter of how much coaxing, pulling, priming, coaxing etc, etc. It was not environmentally friendly as to start you had to hold the float pin down until there was a sufficient flow of gas forming a slick on the water. Today "they" would hang you with hemp rope from an old growth white pine if you left a mess like that in your wake.

don,on the green outboard there are the #'s 407 1881(side cylinder}#407 1883 on cyl.Head,on mount(lower end)are#'s468 48682.with a logo i have NOT seen IT'S A CIRCLE W/an A in the middle& a D&O(C?)on either side(lower)of the A...these are on cyl.&cyl Head.,this is if your saying the top 4 pics are of a CHAMPION if so #'s don't match champ.Model's.any help? if not talking of the GREEN outboard motor,Thank's ALOT!!!
