I was talking to a gentleman from Louisana. Mr. Robert Mayeux. He had seen my classified ad. on this site, and told me about an Atlas Imperial Diesel engine. It's in a 1941 tug boat. Late 20's vintage and was rebuilt in 1970 for about $70,000. It's in the 400 to 500 hp range. The tug is to be scraped and the motor with it. He's trying to find a collector or museum to save the motor. You can call him at 1-318-442-0611 |

Bob Mayeux is a very reliable fellow I have known for at least twnty years. In my opinion he can be depended on to call it the way he sees it. Hope someone will save it. |
