My Detroit 453 in my 28 foot boat is hard to start if it sits for 2 or more weeks. It needs to turn over for about 60 seconds or I have to use stater fluid. However if I get it started and run it, the motor starts right up the next day even 5 days later it will start right up. Would replacing the injectors help this? Any other ideas how i might get it to start up easy even after it sits for a couple weeks? Thanks, Mike |

Mike,..Sounds like you have a leak on your primary side of the Fuel Filter,..Line from the tank to the Primary Fuel Filter,.or Secondary Filter,..If you have a loose fuel line connection,..The engine looses it's fuel pressure prime over time and could suck air into the system.Check all the fuel line connections. |
