Hello, I am a lucky owner of a SABB G 1975 diesel engine. This winter I have been restoring my engine. Now, when the engine is working again, I have a small problem. Before it started on just one turn, and now it needs about four to five strokes to get it running. It also blows out white smoke out of the air inlet. I have a small hint that i have in some way changed the fuel injection point. So now the engine gets the fuel a bit to early or a bit to late. If anyone knows of this problem, please tell me how to fix it... |

MY Sabb has just blown up, so yours is doing well incomparison. I don't know exactly what the problem is as you do not describe the engine sound, but my feeling is that the engine is firing too early, (before the air intake valve closes). No idea how to adjust the firing point, so this may not be useful info, but all the best of luck. |
