Here are some pics of my Marinized Driggs-Seabury 4 cylinder flat head, circa 1913-1915? Any information anyone may have or resources that I can be pointed towards is greatly appreciated. I am in need of spark plugs with 3/4 inch threads on them, if you know of any, please let me know. Thanks a lot, Jon.

None of the desciptions I put with the pics came through, so here they are. 1)Right side of motor showing intake, exhaust & valvetrain compartment. Brass bit is the piston pump that is run by the @1 exhaust lobe of the cam to oil the front gears. 2)Left side of the motor shows magneto base, water inlet/outlet, brass tube for??? & the tag. 3)Freshly balanced rotating assembly & cam. 4)Cast aluminum oil pan with rod dipper tray. 5)Brass Tillotson carb & Bosch American Magneto. 6)3 of the 4 rods & pistons, with one of the 4-bolt main caps. Thanks for taking the time to look at my project, would appreciate any/all comments, both good and bad, (not too bad anyhow!). I'll have more pics soon, as I've painted the motor body and other parts, when I can. Take care, Jon. [email protected] |

Are your plug holes tapered? If so it would be 1/2 inch pipe threads. Value-bilt would have them |

They had put 3/4 to 1/2 pipe adapters in the plug holes to be able to use the smaller plug size. I would like to go back to the original size for looks, but the few I've found so far are cost prohibitive. I'll look on value-bilt, hope they have a web site. Thanks Larry, take care, Jon. |
