The same manuels i have are on line at www.wisconsinmotors.com The aeh has differant gasket numbers than the ahh, agh, afh. I thought piston size was the biggest differance. |

Larry my problem is the block for the PW-27 is the AEH crankshaft etc. Palmer made the marine flywheel and water cooled cylinder but they used the piston for the AFH which my info says is the DB-210 and the con rod is D-49, That larger piston is how Palmer got 27 cu inch displacement. What part no. size the intake/ exhaust gasket is I don't know. The intake exhaust manifold looks to me like the typical manifold on the air cooled Wisconsin. Can you tell if the AEH, AFH etc all had the same size exhaust manifold? |

I can see the part numbers are differant on manifolds. Aeh old engines is ld 197-c newer engines ld 232. afh is ld 230 and ahh is ld 231. There is one munber differant on the gaskets too. Theres not alot of room between the mag and carb so on the shorter stroke engines they may have shortened the manifold because the block is shorter. My book lists the piston for the afh as db-160-d older ones db-160b-1.I have seen 3 differant pistons in the same model wisconsin engine. The old ones are cast iron, then they go to alummin, then go the alummin with shorter skirts. My father sold all the old pistons we had to guys who were repairing old engines and wanted the old pistons to match. If you have a manifold off we could hold it up to mine and comepare them. |
