Just purchased this motor. What is the gas/oil ratio of this motor? Can anybody get me any info about this motor? Thanks! |

Cant remember when this engine was built. If it is a green metal shroud (early 1950's late 1940s stick with 25:1. That should be a bit much for red and white (mid 1950's) 30:1 maybe? If it is 1960's (white coloured shroud or later you should be god for 50:1). Silly question but is S & O decal still there? if so should say on that. Good Luck |

It should have a 6 gallon gas tank. You need to use a quart of 30W non detergent oil for each 6 gallons of gas. DO NOT use any other mix or late oils in this old engine. It has plain bearings and won't live very long on the new oils or ratios. For info try the antique outboard club at www.aomci.org Hope this helps Ernie |
