The Crystal River Boat Builders, a group affiliated with the Crystal River Archaelogical Park in Crystal River Florida, are in the process of bulding a historic mullet ice boat. We have acquired what we believe to be a 5 hp Acadia marine engine for this project but none of us have experience with engines of that vintage. We can figure most of it out but do not want to take chances with it. Anyone in the area who could give us some tips would be greatly appreciated. We meet Wednesday and Saturday mornings at the State Park, just follow the paved road to the end, we're on the right side of the canal with all the old boats. |
