Am in the process of replacing valves, rings,rod bearings, camshaft, chankshaft seal, and crankshaft bearings in a Palmer 27. I know the manual for this engine calls for 30 weight non detergent oil. Since I am replacing almost everything in it I am wondering if it would be better to use a quality multi grade oil with detergent. Thanks for your help. Sid Muse
