To those looking for compressible copper head gaskets I have been working with John Baker at [email protected] I have found John to be very responsive in turning out very good quality work at reasonable prices. So far for me he has made the following excellent gaskets. Needless to say I was interested in gaskets for the relatively early Palmer models such as the B, and C and later models such as the exhaust and intake gaskets for the NR and the PNR and ZR three bolt exhaust manifold gaskets. His YT head and exhaust manifold gaskets fit perfectly. He has made me excellent copies of the BH head gasket and one should understand this gasket only fits the stud pattern one way. If it doesn’t fit on the first try turn it over. The P-60 head gasket is in my opinion a first class job. Which should solve the problems the P-60 engine owners have had finding compressible copper head gaskets. At the moment John is going to make me a slightly reduced outer diameter version of the Model C that will fit both the Hot Head and Water Cooled versions. By reducing the OD of the Model C water cooled, head gasket it will then fit either style head without interference to the brass cap. John will work from tracings or used old gaskets. Please all understand I have no business relationship with John. My only interest is coming up with a source of compressible copper head gaskets for antique engines. Based on what I have seen so far I think John deserve our interest knowing how difficult it is to find anyone who will even touch the problem in this country. I would think the outboard and farm engine collectors would also be very much interested in John’s products. Regards, to all Dick Day. |
