Hi-

I am having a mechanic do a complete overhaul on a 1965-ish PW-27 pulled out of a catboat I just inherited. Thanks to this board, I have correctly ID'd the replacement piston (DB-210), which is miraculously still available from Wisconsin in an 0.020" oversized form. Interestingly, the AFH parts list says that the piston is part DB-160-D, not DB-210. I don't know why there is a discrepancy.

The valves also need to be replaced, and I am having trouble figuring out the replacement part. According to the AEH parts list on the Wisconsin website, the valves should be part AE-75-B and the valve springs AF-49-A. The mechanic says he has already ordered these parts and that they do not fit. Does anyone know the correct part number?

Again, thanks for all of the useful info on this board.

Pete,

Could you post the information here?

A source for those valves might be useful to a lot of us.

Thanks!

I would like to get the info also. All I know is the lower half of the the PW-27 is the Wisconsin AEH engine. The crankcase bottom, the cylinder and head is a Palmer design with the AFH piston DB-210 and con rod D-49. I don't have any data on the valves, springs or retainers. Presumably they are Wisconsin. The larger piston of the AFH is how Palmer got 27 cu inches displacement on the AEH base. Will be asking John regarding getting sample replacement copper head gaskets for the BH and PW-27. Unfortunately I have no useable head gasket for either the BH or PW-27 to use as a pattern. Anyone out there got a useable one for a pattern? John is sending me a sample P-60 gasket for my inspection. Hope he has solved the problem for those trying to get P-60 gaskets made. Will let you all know how I am coming on this project.
